Irving Moskowitz Foundation Donates to Smile Train

March 15, 2019 by adamupfront

It has been said that it’s easier to smile than frown, although the saying goes based off the number of muscles we use to make these facial expressions, it’s still debatable to some on which is actually easier. Did you know that smiling is our very first facial expression? Babies learn to smile while even in the womb! Smiling is a recognizable language across the globe, and it’s a non-verbal cue in letting others know exactly how we are feeling. Between November 3rd – 8th, 2013. Super Typhoon Haiyan ripped through the South East and ravaged more than 300 miles of the Philippine country side. Many were left without food and shelter in the wake of Super Typhoon Haiyan’s destruction. Humanitarian efforts were made across the globe, and the Irving Moskowitz Foundation responded by making a generous donation.

The Irving Moskowitz Foundation donated $100,000 to the American Red Cross in response to the Philippines relief disaster in the wake of Super Typhoon Haiyan. The foundation has donated to the American Red Cross in the past and fully understands that the organization will pave the way for quick assistance to those in need.

Dr. Irving Moskowitz understands the importance of giving to those who have little, nothing, or have lost it all. Irving Moskowitz lost 120 of his relatives in the holocaust, since 1968, the Irving Moskowitz Foundation has donated millions of dollars to various charitable organizations. The foundation’s principles stand at:

“He who has saved one life, it is as if he has saved the world.”

The Irving Moskowitz Foundation sees no boundaries in terms of natural disasters or those that differ, the foundation hopes to help those in need and prays strongly for those to circumvent through such tragic circumstances.

Where everything may seem impossible, the possible only happens when it is done.
